This page summarizes how this independent student project handles account, timetable, route-area, contact, and safety information.
Information used
We store your verified university email, name, gender, WhatsApp number, broad Karachi areas, weekly reach/leave times, transport choices, preferences, and account status to operate matching. We do not request an exact home address.
Timetable screenshots
If you choose screenshot import, the image is read inside your browser to prefill Reach and Leave times. The screenshot is not submitted to HU Carpool or saved by the application. You must review the suggested times before saving.
Phone-number visibility
Your number is not included in match-list HTML. A verified student must deliberately reveal it; you can review who revealed it. Reveal records are retained for 90 days.
Safety and operations
Reports, moderation history, delivery records, and limited operational logs are used for safety, reliability, and abuse investigation. Email message payloads queued for retry are encrypted.
Your choices
You can pause matching, disable match emails, review your profile, request deletion, or recover a pending deletion within 30 days. Contact support for privacy questions.
